About Empower Sports Chiropractic

Move Well · Be Strong · Live Long

Why We Opened Our Doors

We saw the same pattern across college and pro teams: time, hands-on care, and a clear plan get people back to what they love.  So in 2023, we opened our clinic in Cumming, Georgia, with one-on-one, longer sessions focused on real movement, not just what looks good on a table.

Four people in a fitness studio. Two women and two men. All are smiling.

How Your Care Works Here

STEP 1

We’ll listen to your story, then perform a head-to-toe movement test to find what’s actually driving the pain.

STEP 2

We’ll treat the irritants with the right combination of hands-on care to calm down hot spots, and restore motion.

STEP 3

We’ll give you targeted, useful exercises, not a generic band sheet, so changes stick, even outside the clinic.

STEP 4

We’ll measure changes you can feel and see, then keep re-testing until you go from pain relief to performance.

Tools We May Use In Your Plan

Chiropractor adjusting a patient's back in a light-filled office.

Safe, precise joint movement to improve ROM, blood flow, pain, and shift the body from “fight-or-flight” to “rest-and-digest.”

Chiropractic Adjustments

Person lying face down on an examination table, elbows resting, wearing a dark shirt and neon green shorts.

Gentle up-down table work to open joints, especially helpful for lower backs. (We don’t do spinal decompression machines.)

Flexion Distraction

Woman in gray shirt performing medical procedure, wearing blue gloves in a gym setting.

Tiny needles at trigger points to release stubborn knots and reset muscle/nerve behavior; e-stim when helpful.

Dry Needling

Man giving a back massage to another man in a gym setting.

Goal-driven, firm work to reduce tension and improve mobility; less invasive than needling.

Deep Tissue / Sports Massage

Person holding a white medical device against a woman's arm, in a professional setting.

Non-invasive acoustic waves that reach deep into tissue—great for deeper structures and chronic issues, especially in the extremities.

SoftWave (Shockwave)

Person receiving arm massage. Hands on armpit and upper arm, skin redness visible.

Gold-standard pin-and-stretch at the end range to restore motion.

Active Release Technique (ART)

Person receiving instrument-assisted soft tissue massage on their leg. Another hand holds a massage tool.

Stainless‑steel tools to find and treat local, chronic tendon issues in the elbow, knee, plantar fascia, etc.

Graston Technique® (IASTM)

A man with cupping therapy on his back, standing by a chalkboard with game scores.

“Old blood out, new blood in.” We scan/glide, sometimes set cups briefly, and move joints through range.

Cupping Therapy

Man in gym lifting a barbell with blue weight plates. He wears a black shirt and shorts.

Rehab-heavy, progressive programming that fits how you train and live.

Peter B.
I started seeing Dr. Jared Croskey after the hip pain I developed postpartum continued to get worse. He quickly found the root cause of not only my hip pain but also the TMJ pain, and tension headaches I’ve had for 15 plus years.

Proof You Can Trust

You shouldn’t have to guess whether a clinic can help. Here are real markers that speak for themselves:

  • On the field: Year‑round care for Georgia Tech Football; prior work with the Atlanta Falcons and Gwinnett Stripers sports medicine staffs.

  • Education & certifications: DC with Summa Cum Laude honors; ART provider; Graston Technique® Specialist; DPT with advanced training in dry needling and BFR.

  • Measurable progress: Many patients feel early changes in the first 2–3 visits.  Most see clear progress by about 12 visits, then we transition to performance‑based care.
